We've been in our new house for 17 months now, and still haven't gotten around to finishing the living room. This isn't as terrible as it sounds, since we spend most of our time in our sunroom (which has a couch & the HDTV) or the game room (which also has a couch & loveseat & TV). The livingroom doesn't — nor will it — have a TV. It's a room for reading & hanging out & talking.

In the living room we have our couch, loveseat & chair w/ ottoman, and we have a carpet and curio cabinet. The lighting we have in there is temporary, so I won't bother describing it. What we need is a table for the corner space between the sofa & loveseat.

I'll post some pictures, then the dimensions of the space and a couple of tables I'm considering.

Dimensions
* The arms of the sofa & loveseat are 24.5" high.
* The cushions are 15" high, so the armrests are nearly at armpit level for most people.
* The open, rectangular space in the corner is 44" x 49".

The problem I'm encountering is that tables specifically labeled as "end tables" tend to be too small for that space. So I'm considering going with a coffee table in that corner. But I worry that a coffeetable would be too low.

Here's a table that caught my eye:

It would fill the space pretty well — it's 37" round. Problem is, it's only 14" tall. Too low?

Granted, there is a taller (20") side-table option, but that one is only 19" round, so I think the area would look to empty with that one.

I'd like to think this table lamp (a matching floor lamp would be next to the chair in the room) would work well in the room, but the the top of the lamp would be only 42" off the floor. Again, too low?

There's also this three-tiered table, which is takes up about 34" of space and is (at its tallest) 20" high. Thoughts?

UPDATE: I was asked to include a couple of photos of the rest of the room so people got a sense of context. So here they are (remember, we're not planning on keeping the existing lights):

TWOM: The list

Following the descriptions below, post a video or song link on your Facebook page for 21 consecutive days. Since the goal is to share a bunch of music, no repeats. So your friends can know why you're doing this, I recommend setting up each post with "Day X of Three Weeks of Music: (copied description)," but hey, it's your page, so do it however you like. If you find the list interesting, please like this page and let your friends know.

Day 1 You know that musician who had only one or two commercially viable singles but that didn't stop you from being a fan for multiple albums? Post one of that musician's songs that wasn't a hit but that you really like.

Day 3 A song for sexy time.

Day 4 A song that you don't like even though one of your favorite musicians recorded it.
